Start with what the customer should see when the carton is closed. Map the pastry arrangement, the display direction and the labels that need to remain readable. Then review the window position against product clearance, the opening method and the surrounding carton panels.

Map the View and the Product Layout

List the pastry count, each item’s footprint and the maximum decorated height. Show the board, cups, liner or insert in the layout. Identify whether the pack is displayed on a counter, on a shelf or inside another presentation.

Review the sample both full and at the intended assortment variation. Check which products remain visible, where empty spaces appear and whether the lid or window contacts the contents.

Keep Packing Access and Labels Clear

Mark the loading direction, opening tabs and areas used to grip the carton. Keep product information readable in the closed display position and review artwork near folds and the window opening.

Confirm the window component and its attachment method on the agreed specification. Request review of the remaining board around the cutout rather than assuming that a larger window will suit the structure.

Define the Material and Handling Conditions

Describe any inner wrapping, direct product contact, grease or moisture exposure and the actual storage conditions. Ask for the proposed component specification and supporting documents for that use.

A view through the lid does not establish freshness, barrier performance or food-contact suitability. Discuss retail display, takeaway handling and courier shipping as separate uses with agreed sample checks.

Share usable dimensions, assortment drawings, proposed window position, quantity by design, artwork files, destination and required date. Confirm the sample scope, minimum order and schedule after the pack has been reviewed.
