Description
An e-commerce packaging box should be selected around the packed order and its handling route. Define the product, primary packaging, packing process and acceptance requirements before choosing a mailer style, board construction or decorative finish.
Eastpkg® combines production and supply chain management for B2B packaging projects. Use this enquiry to discuss a proposed box specification. An “eco-friendly” catalogue label does not establish recycled content, recyclability, biodegradability or protection performance.
Image disclosure: Both gallery images contain AI-generated-content labels in their source metadata. They show visual references of a blue presentation box beside a flattened bag or wrapper, not a verified parcel shipper, product photographs or evidence of Eastpkg® manufacture, material composition or shipping performance.
Describe the Packed Order
Provide dimensions and weights for the actual items as shipped, including any primary packs, accessories and documents. For orders with several products, specify representative combinations and how they should be arranged.
- Fit: agree usable internal dimensions and the clearance needed for packing and removal.
- Positioning: identify any dividers or inserts and how they hold the actual products.
- Closure: specify the proposed locking, tape, adhesive or other closure arrangement.
- Outer dimensions: record them separately for storage, transport and fulfilment discussions.
A mailer describes a structure or use, while corrugated describes a material construction; they are not mutually exclusive categories. Confirm the proposed structure and material together rather than selecting one by name alone.
Review Packing Work and Delivery Conditions
Explain whether orders are packed manually or through a defined fulfilment process. Review assembly steps, packing sequence, storage form, sealing work and label areas. A box image does not establish packing speed or compatibility with a fulfilment operation.
Define the intended transport route and relevant handling or storage conditions. Agree the assessment needed for the packed product. Board layers, a rigid appearance or an insert alone do not prove protection against drops, compression, moisture or other hazards.
Consider Opening and Any Return Task
Discuss how the recipient opens the pack, removes the product and handles loose components. If reuse for a return shipment is required, specify the return task and the proposed closure and condition checks. Do not infer return readiness from a reusable-looking box.
Agree separate criteria for product protection, assembly, appearance and recipient access. Record the packed configuration used for sample checks so later changes can be assessed on the same basis.
Review Materials and Branding
Request the board, printed layers, coating or lamination, adhesive, tape and insert specification. Environmental statements need evidence for the complete pack and intended destination. Recycled content, certification, recyclability and compostability are different claims; kraft colour is not proof of any of them.
Use an agreed dieline for artwork, folds, closures and shipping-label placement. Review print method, substrate, finish and colour reference through a representative sample. Availability of a proposed process or component must be confirmed.
Compare the Full Quotation Scope
Consider packaging, inserts, assembly, packing labour, storage and transport responsibilities alongside unit price. Do not assume that a different structure will reduce total cost or returns without a relevant comparison.
Send your e-commerce packaging brief with the product mix, packed dimensions and weight, quantity, destination, artwork status and evidence requirements. Confirm samples, minimum quantity, charges, production timing and delivery terms for the agreed specification.
Review sample approval questions and the materials and claims checklist before approving production.
