Drawer Boxes

Description

Drawer Boxes should be specified around the product and the way the pack will be opened, assembled and handled. Use the following points to prepare a drawing and sample brief for Eastpkg®.

Specify the sleeve and tray

Provide the product dimensions and weight, then identify the internal tray space and overall closed size separately. Show the sliding direction on the drawing. Allow room for the product, insert and removal without assuming the outside sleeve dimensions are the usable space.

Set the opening and retention

Choose whether buyers should pull a ribbon, use a finger notch or grip an exposed tray edge. Discuss whether a stop or other retention detail is needed. Test that the tray moves smoothly and does not slide out unintentionally during the agreed handling conditions.

Check inserts and printed panels

Mark product contact areas and removal space. Identify which sleeve and tray panels remain visible when open. Keep small text and important graphics clear of wrap edges, joins and high-friction areas.

Approve the assembled sample

Check sliding clearance with the actual product installed, including the effect of the wrap and insert. Review edge finish, alignment, pull attachment and repeated opening where relevant. Define the packed shipping arrangement and test requirements separately.

Prepare a quotation brief

Send the product dimensions and weight, quantity, artwork, insert needs, destination and required delivery date. Identify any material documentation or testing requirements. Confirm the proposed construction, minimum order, sample scope and production schedule in the quotation.

Compare rigid box formats or send a packaging brief.
