Description
Chocolate Box: Piece Fit, Compartments and Removal
Define a chocolate box around the actual pieces or individually wrapped units and the insert that will hold them. Piece count, shape variation and removal access determine the layout. A nominal external box size is not a confirmed capacity for a particular assortment.
Record the Product and Insert Brief
List each piece’s maximum dimensions and height, including cups, wrappers or decorations. Show the intended compartment layout and identify any shapes that need different spacing. State the packed weight and whether the assortment changes between orders.
Review the tray and usable internal dimensions together. Check that a sample can be loaded and that customers can remove pieces without lifting or damaging the surrounding arrangement.
Review the Box and Closure
Discuss the lid, opening direction and proposed locating features against the sample layout. Check clearance above the tallest piece and the space taken by any pad, cover or information card.
Agree checks for tray movement, closure and the intended handling route. A presentation box or insert image does not establish temperature control, food-contact suitability or a tested shipping performance.
Document Materials and Artwork
Describe primary wrapping and any direct contact with the box or insert. Request component specifications and relevant supporting documents for the intended storage and use. Review grease, moisture or temperature requirements separately where they matter.
Provide artwork files, colour references and required information panels. Confirm proposed printing and finishing against the selected board and sample; avoid approving a certification or environmental statement without matching project evidence.
Request a Comparable Quotation
Share the piece and tray dimensions, quantity by design, artwork status, packing method, destination and required date. Ask suppliers to identify the sample scope, included components, minimum order and schedule against the same brief.
For courier shipment, describe the full packed order and outer protection separately. Keep the approved drawing, material record and sample linked so substitutions can be reviewed before production.
The gallery shows a blue floral presentation box with a ribbon and compartmented inner packs. It is a design reference, not proof of a specified material, food-contact suitability or production capability.
